Q:Does Swann make a monitor compatible with this system? Is the only way to view it on your phone? I need a constant display on 2 monitors in 2 separate rooms. Is that easily done?

Answer This Question

A:  Hi Mike. Swann do not sell monitors ourselves but any old monitor or TV that has an HDMI or VGA port can be connected to the DVR. Many people use an old PC screen for this purpose if they have one lying around. To view in two separate rooms, the best way would be to get an HDMI splitter and then split the HDMI cable connected to the back of the DVR into two so that you get duplicate views. -SD, Swann team

            I love it now that I know how to use it!
            Before I wasn't sure on how to use it so the notifications got annoying but I was able to adjust it and have it record constantly which is what I needed.

              I bought this camera survyience system because the neighborhood that I live in .So far I haven't needed it. But it was easy to hook up, everything is working with ease.nobody should have a problem if I can do it.

              I bought this system to replace a current older system and figured I’d just switch the cameras out Be aware you must use newer white cables with purple connectors the older black and yellow will work but many functions of the cameras will not The Ethernet net cable must be connected to router or Swanns own antenna receiver must be used (plus $40) Easy set up - great support (needed to use them a few times) Alls well that ends well

              [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These were amazing. Easy set up, easy use. Went up and only took my husband about an hour to set everything up, maybe a little longer. The pictures are clear as day. We were super excited to be able to check on our hosue no matter where we are. These went great outside, couldn't even tell they were really there. Small enough to not be noticble but big enough to capture everything needed. We were all very pleased with these. Great set of security cameras and fantastic name brand to go with it.

                Poor mounting bracket design
                The mounting bracket on these cameras is poorly designed. I need to be able to physically adjust/point the camera vertically and horizontally to where I want it once it's mounted. This bracket only allows a 90 degree vertical adjustment in one direction which severely limits how you can mount this camera. The bracket should also have a 180 degree vertical adjustment so you can mount it from a ceiling if you wish.

                  Does not work as described, and give false information.
                  I have had this unit for 4 months and it has never worked as it should. I follow the instructions over and over but can't get a fully working unit. * I'm told no files available when played back, but there must be. *One camera records and plays back but others that are set up the same do not. *I have only had two notifications in 4 months *It takes 3-5 minutes to display on my phone *Asks me to renew password every time I try to access remotely on smartphone All in all useless as a warning device, I can see the live view but cannot replay.
