My battery provided by manufacturer has 230 cca will 300 cca hurt my riding mower
Asked by: dave
No of course it won't. The battery is able to provide **up to** 300 CCA so if the starter is "asking for less" then no problem.

If there is a core charge it should be noted with the description so that there is no confusion at the time of purchase.
Asked by: Kelly
Well although some people out there maybe like oh well the core fee is not that much think of it as recycling you're saving the world. Some of us have use for those old batteries. Myself for example have extracted the lead from a battery and smelted it down into bullets that I can fire on the Range. And some of the more Automotive Savvy people like myself also know how to refurbish an old battery that is no longer working and so don't feel it right that I should have to pay to dispose of a battery that I may not be disposing of at all. Once I pay for something it is my property and how dare someone try to MAKE ME pay to dispose of something when they have no idea what I'm doing with that old battery. Maybe I decided to keep my old battery to refurbish it at a later time as a second battery but simply needed to purchase a new battery to keep my car going and feed my family. Anywho the federal mandate that the Karen above thinks he knows everything talked about, doesn't apply everywhere it is a federal mandate which does encompass the entirety of the 50 states; however it is only required in 30 States. The other 20 states have it as legally permissible for a retailer to charge this fee, but not mandated. Ergo if it is not law it cannot be enforced and with the proper amount of argument you will retain your fee. I happen to live in one of those states where it is only permissible but not required. Especially since the store where I bought my battery does not accept old batteries. So my argument was that although it is legally permissible in my state oh, it is not required by law. And since they were refusing to take my old battery for their so-called mandatory recycling charge; The Descent really they had no right to charge me for the recycling that they would not do. After two Associates, and two managers, not only did I retain my fee, but also got a discount for my hassle.

Yes or they charge an additional fee. You can bring the old battery in at a later date with the receipt to get your deposit fee back. Usually places a charge of $10 to $12

WHAT DOES CA MEAN

WHAT DOES CA MEAN
Asked by: MOT
? 'CA' ? - - - - 'Cranking Amps' as a Measure of the internal Power inside the Battery - - BUT, usually "CCA." I.E. = '190' is about the very least / lowest available on these small Lawn Tractor-Mower Batteries, whereas '300' would represent the relative Highest.
