We bought 6 of these pots, and love them so far (2 weeks in). They are big, sturdy, and look great on our deck with our Sky Holly Pencil trees transplanted into them.
The drain plug is on the inside of the pot, on the top of the water reservoir, yet somehow they seem to hold water just in the reservoir, and drain the excess out well from an open hole on the bottom of the pot. We tested the drainage out before we planted in them, and can’t figure out how it works, (even after watching the video clip on line) but it seems to work well. They have a slight footing on the bottom side of the pot, so can sit right on our cedar deck without the water pooling underneath.

Do not buy this.
This will kill your plants. It leaks toxic chemicals. Don't buy it.

Works great for larger plants that need to be indoors or out. Would recommend getting a pot caddy or pot stand with wheels. The pot filled with soil can become VERY heavy.
