what is the difference between Electric and Recoil start Toto Power Clear 721 E 21 in 212 Cc

Asked by Sporty1 October 23, 2020
1
Answer

The Power Clear 721 E has both Electric and Recoil start. To use the electric starter, connect a power cord to the electric-start plug-in first and then to a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) power outlet. Use only a UL-listed, 16-gauge power cord recommended for outdoor use that is not longer than 15 m (50 ft). To use the recoil start, pull the recoil handle. Follow the Starting The Engine instructions in the Operator Manual. Thank you.

What does single-stage mean in a snow blower?

Asked by Evie September 11, 2020
1
Answer

Single stage means the machine uses a single motion (rotor) to scoop and throw the snow. Two Stage means the machine has a slow moving auger that brings the snow into the machine and an impeller that will throw the snow out – it uses two stages to throw the snow. In general terms, single stage key benefits are maneuverability, compact storage, clearing down to the pavement. Two stages can typically handle a lot more snow per storm.

How do you drain old gas out

Asked by mcdmom July 15, 2020

Answers

Fuel line usually is clipped to the bottom of the gas tank on models like these. A par of pliers, a funnel and a gas can are typically enough. I rarely do this anymore as I store my lawn and snow (and car) over the season. I add fuel stabilizer to the tank and run it a few minutes and the fuel doesn't deteriorate over the summer. Fires right up for me. Been doing it for years. And to be clear. I have an expensive exotic car and do this without hesitation.

I am sick at the money I spent to purchase this snowblower. Here we are a month before warranty end and it no longer starts. Gas spewing out. I see that your warranty includes blaming the owner for using gas over 30 days old for this problem and aren’t covering this repair. Negative reviews for this very problem indicate repair costs to be almost the cost of the new unit! So I haven’t bothered to go through the bogus warranty process. Obviously there were problems with the 721E as it’s been totally redesigned. It never worked well anyways as more snow came out the back than through the chute and I should have returned it immediately after purchase. I can’t shovel without pain due my hip issues and can’t afford a replacement on a hardly used, well cared for snowblower. I will never purchase another Toro product. At very least Toro stop treating your warranty as an money-maker on design and engine problems with your products, and blaming owners!

Sorry you had such a difficult experience. We suggest the warranty is very solid and 100% supported by Toro. Simply have the machine physically inspected by an independent authorized mechanic and should there be a manufacturing defect as identified by the independent mechanic then there is no cost to you. This particular machine has a strong 4.5 star rating on Home Depot and we want everyone to have a 4.5 plus experience! For any further assistance please contact 888-384-9939. Thank you! Toro

Works very well, started on the first pull. I would have given a 5 star but the auger engage lever fell off after 3 minuets. I had to bend it out to keep it in place!

We're very glad to hear the Power Clear 721 is performing well and starting easily for you! As for the issue regarding your auger lever, it should not have to be bent to stay in place. We would definitely recommend having one of our authorized service mechanics look at this issue, as your machine does come backed by our 2-year warranty. If you need further assistance, we're here to help at 888-384-9939 (US) or 800-544-5364 (CA). Toro

Lower part of upper tubular handle was severely bent. Do not think it happened during shipping since the box was not damaged. Blower works good in both wet and dry snow.

We value all customer assessments. The Power Clear 721 R is backed by a two year manufacturer warranty to protect against manufacturing defects. Prior to any unit leaving the Toro distribution center, all machines are fully inspected for damage and missing parts. If you receive a machine damaged, we recommend contacting the shipping company to submit a damage claim. Also, we recommend having the machine inspected by The Home Depot tool rental or Toro authorized service mechanic regarding warranty. Or you can certainly contact our customer care team for assistance If you have questions or concerns. You may contact us at 888-384-9939 (US) or 800-544-5364 (CA). We’re here to help! Toro

Snowblower arrived via UPS in damaged shape. The handle was bent down by the attachment to the unit. I had to make a decision on whether to bend it back and jam it together or deal with the hassle of returning it. I choose to bend it back. It worked but machine is a bit off line. I think it will work fine, but I do not recommend getting it delivered. Pick it up at store. No snow yet, but once I filled it with Gas and Oil (Oil comes with it), it started up no problem. Quality is a concern as it feels a bit cheaply made and plasticy .
