We’ve Got You Covered

Toro stands behind this 3-year limited warranty, and guaranteed for life warranty on the impeller housing.

Winter's biggest snowfalls are no match for the self-propelled Power Max 824 OE Snow Blower. With a 252cc Toro Premium 4-cycle OHV engine leading the charge, you'll muscle through the toughest snow and ice Mother Nature has to offer. And you'll be back inside for dinner before your neighbors, too, thanks to a 24 in. wide clearing width and 20 in. intake height that make quick work of even the deepest snow. The innovative Quick Stick control allows you to change the steel chute direction and chute deflector with a single, smooth motion. Convenient one-hand operation levers allow single-handed use, freeing the other hand to change speeds or the chute control without stopping. The exclusive Anti-Clogging System monitors snow intake to reduce clogging and maximize clearing efficiency. The blower is also equipped with hardened gears in your auger gearbox - there are no shear pins to replace. Instead, if the auger hits hard material, the engine will purposely stall to prevent damage. Ideal for concrete, asphalt and gravel surfaces. And with Toro's 3-year limited warranty, you can rest easy knowing that you're prepared for anything winter has in store. Count on it.

I'm 77 and my husband is 86. We can both operate this snowblower. We live on one acre and the driveway and turn around areas are gravel. This unit has adjustable "shoes" to raise the auger so it doesn't dig into the gravel. It is very powerful, easy to start and a welcome addition to our mechanized fleet (ie riding lawn mower, sprayer, rototiller, etc.). It was already put together at the store which is a plus.

So I bought this snowblower last January after doing some extensive research and for the price point, this thing delivers. - Starts on 1st pull, every time - Easy to use - Just blasted thru 93cm of snow that we received - Tosses snow like Uncle Phil tosses Jazz out of the house Best purchase to date.

The joy stick chute cable is cheap and cable came off.
Customer review from toro.com logo
The joy stick cable chute, came off from the bottom of the joy stick. I couldn’t put the chute or move the joystick all the way back cause the cable z tip will come of the base... I had to glue it on in order to work properly..

Great Machine
Customer review from toro.com logo
This is a Great snow blower. I had a older Toro which did a okay job for most snow. But it didn't handle the heavy wet stuff very well. This machine handles it a lot better. I'm very pleased. I purchased one of these for my parents two years ago. Wish I would of bought mine then also. Would of saved some money.

Great machine at a reasonable cost.
Customer review from toro.com logo
I wasn't looking to spend this much money on this size machine but glad I did. Let me preface this review by stating I have only used the machine four times (in two weeks) since I purchased it but very pleased with it so far. The machine started by the second pull of the rope every time I started it. Turn the choke on, hit the primer button three times, and pull the rope. If it didn't start the first time it started on the second pull. Yes it has electric start but I wanted to see how well it would start with the rope. Excellent! I love the two speed reverse. We live in the country and had many hard 3-6 ft drifts to contend with. Not having the drift cutters on the Toro I had to break down the higher drifts with a shovel first but the Toro threw the snow a good 30 ft or better. The last snow we had was pretty wet and I was skeptical about the new anti clogging system for the chute. I never had an issue with the chute clogging at all. Overall a great machine! for.

Came in a big box, had to put together, handle bars and attach cables, suggest you look up video from Toro before you assemble it, especially the cable adjustments part follow and you should have no problem. this replaced a basic MTD 24" model with 8 speed transmission, although a good machine, Toro has power steering and much more power thanks to the 252 cc vs the 208 on MTD. I have to remove my roof snow and the MTD was pretty much useless, because when you shovel snow off roof it becomes something else when it hits the ground it transforms into a monster, what I call second hand snow is terribly difficult to remove. I have confined areas where have to remove from roof than blow towards driveway or backyard. If I leave snow on roof it drips for weeks and re-freeze every night on ground and is very hazardous, so had to have a more powerful machine with power steering and one that was similar in size to my 24" MTD, don't get me wrong MTD good machine for light duty work but not up to difficult snow removal. I did some careful comparisons before buying this machine, I looked at Husqvarna, Airens, Dr Power, Club cadet, MTD Simplicity ect.... I narrowed down to Ariens or Toro, I even talked to dealers and shop mechanics, they all said buy the Ariens; To Big! I have a bad back and needed a lighter machine, the Ariens Deluxe 24" or for that matter 28" both same machine!, you might as buy the 28", but weight 80lbs or more. just to big for my purpose. That why I bought the 26" Toro just a little bigger and approximant weight as my MTD, but much more powerful. It will start with first pull but the bigger the CC harder to pull, I will always use electric start works great. only neg no hand warmers, and delivery company let it set in warehouse 50 miles away, fromThursday through the weekend received on a Monday, I could have used it on Thursday. Plus its made in Mexico. Aside from that, seems like a well built machine and handles like a sports car compared to one with out Power steering.
