The TowSmart X-mount Ball Mount is a patented X-mount design that channels away moisture to minimize seizing within the aperture of the receiver hitch. It should fit any standard 2” receiver. Mine was installed by U-Haul and it fits perfectly.
Can I flip it over and put the ball on the other side?
Yes, in order to level the ride of my trailer I flipped the hitch over. It’s made for use on both sides.
Regarding the TowSmart receiver hitch - Yes, you can mount the ball on the other side of the hitch plate. You must, however, make sure that the hitch is at the correct height for the trailer you are towing. There are different receiver hitch models with differing heights - make sure you get the right one.
