    Good grill but over-rated accessories
    I own two Pro34’s. Love them, and I bought their overpriced shelves and pellet bucket. Bucket won’t fit. Very poor design integration. Don’t waste you money on their junk accessories.

The pellet bucket is made to help keep moisture and humidity away from the pellets. We still do recommend keeping the pellets in a cool, dry place to ensure their longevity. As for the shelf, the main purpose is to help handle the tools, rubs, sauces the cover and things of the sort during the process of cooking.       Temperature is not accurate
      I kept noticing that every time I cooked something it took way more time than what most recipes stated. I got a thermometer and put in the grill and actually the inside temperature is 50 degrees cooler than what the readout shows. So if you want to cook at 275 you have to set the grill to 325…. To me this is not acceptable. I will be looking for a different brand as this grill The Pro 34 is a piece of crap……..

      Hey James, thanks for taking the time to review your Pro 34. That temperature readout does need addressing based on the pictures you've shown. This isn't a common issue, but we can absolutely help get you up and Traegering again. We would recommend the troubleshooting starts with your RTD, or Resistance Temperature Detector, inside your grill's barrel. The best way to test your RTD is by comparing the ambient temperature of the grill to the external temperature. With the grill cooled down, turn on your grill and take note of what temperature shows up on the controller. Compare this to the outside temperature, either using a third-party thermometer or the current daily temperature. Acceptable temperature variation is within 20°F/10°C. The temperature variation may be larger when the grill is sitting in the sun. If the readings are more than 20°F/10°C off, please contact our support team at 1-800-TRAEGER for assistance. These troubleshooting steps and more are also available in the Support section of our website.

          Must of been shear luck i bought the lemon of traeger Had nothing but issues temperature swings put a new temperature probe new electronics today rhe Q was cleaned and it caught on fire from a flair up cooking a brisket everything and almost caught my patio on fire. Spoke with Customer service and since it’s past the warranty Its not there problem. Sent them pic and everything they even agreed with me that it was extremely close call.

            Overrated Smoker/BBQ
            I read many reviews and research many smokers and decided this pallet smoker was a good choice. After receiving, assembly is kind of manageable for the larger smoker by yourself. The smoker itself is where is fails to produce constant results. If you are casual smoker or BBQer be prepared to trouble shoot this almost every time. First time smoking had trouble getting started to smoke. After it started, it failed mid smoke, fire must have died out, so meat end up sitting there for some time, since I did not supervise every 5 minutes. Second time it worked fine and BBQ came out really tasty. Third time smoking had trouble again, this time started and died out again after 20 minutes. Restarted only the temperature to go to 360F with some smoke coming out while temp was set to 225. I find regular $300 smoker to be more reliable with some old school wood chips than this piece of junk. I don’t have time nor interest to trouble shoot this garbage every time I try to smoke or bbq meat. Also after though I found out this smoker can be affected under windy conditions, how you design something with such flaw :). I do not recommend spending this much money to have a headache. Check out cheaper electric smoker and get separate BBQ for half the money.

              This was a Father's day gift. So far I've smoked babyback and St. Louis style ribs, beef brisket, eye of round beef roast, pork butt and a turkey breast. All these turned out perfectly moist with great smoke rings, The favors and taste was outstanding, I would recommend this product to family and friends.

                I ordered this grill for my husband as a Father’s Day gift. I ordered it on Saturday, requested assembly, and working 15 minutes received the email that it was ready. I was skeptical because that likely meant it was a floor model and I didn’t think I should have had to pay full price for a floor model. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I couldn’t pick it up until the next day or I’d ruin the surprise. I went to Home Depot the following day to pick it up. Brought it home and surprised the hubby. All was well. We had some travel plans so we didn’t get to using it until a couple weeks later. Of course it needed to be seasoned first. We pulled it out today to get things going. First problem- the heating rod would not heat. It took my husband and hour to figure it out which included him disassembling the electrical box on the side and fixing the wiring. I also called Home Depot prior to him fixing it and was told that it could only be returned if it wasn’t used- major red flag there as it is impossible to know if the thing works until you try to USE it! Anyway, husband figured out the issue and got it going. So, it takes 45 minutes to season. Well, within 20 minutes we notice that the finish on the front of the grill is bubbling and began to peel off! So now I am convinced that they gave us a floor model or a grill that had sat outside in the elements because there’s absolutely no reason that the finish should have done that, not after 2 years, but especially not on the first use. And now that it’s been “used” Home Depot won’t take it back or replace it. So……. I don’t know what to do. I’m pretty upset by all of this and disappointed with the way Home Depot handled this from start to finish. My husband said he’s going to try reaching out to Traeger directly but I am not holding my breath since this seems to be an issue with the retailer, not the manufacturer. We shall see…
