No but it does effect the cooking time. In cold weather I recommend getting the Traeger quilt warmer for a more even and consistent smoke and timing
You can use the Traeger in rain and snow. When it’s cold, it’s good to use the Traeger insulated cover to keep the temp more consistent
The grills were originally made in the USA, they moved manufacturing to china. Trager used to be able to charge premium prices when they were the only ones making pellet grills.
The Pro 22 has 572 sq in of cooking space. The product webpage says it’s capacity is 4 chickens, 5 rib racks, or 24 burgers. https://www.traegergrills.com/pellet-grills/pro/22-bronze?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_content=ecom&utm_campaign=br-pro-series-22&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=10074311889&utm_kwd=traeger%20pro%20series%2022&gclid=CjwKCAiAl4WABhAJEiwATUnEF5NLAZJBirZLiCIeEnAZwuSxwCnQPQlzgqLtSnab5ZjA2AT62EkBuBoCRdgQAvD_BwE
AWSOME smoker nothing but good experience with the unit so far.
Can't answer this regarding steaks, but everything he cooks on the Traeger ( this one replaced a 20 year old model) is mouth watering. We've had turkey, ribs, roast, veggies, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc and no one item was bad.
I picked it up at the store and assembled myself.
