Can it be place on tile

Answer This Question

It says it water resistant. Does that mean it’s water proof ? Looking to install in a laundry room .
ByMar 3, 2025
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

While this vinyl tile is water-resistant, it is not waterproof. Water-resistant means it can repel or withstand some water exposure, but prolonged exposure or standing water can cause damage. For a laundry room, where spills and moisture are common, it's generally recommended to use waterproof flooring. While this product might be suitable for areas with occasional spills, it's not ideal for areas prone to significant moisture.

Do I have to acclimate them for 48hrs like box says I want to install them right away and the temp here is 60s
ByJan 4, 2025

Answer This Question

I laid peel and stick vinyl plank flooring while working for a non-profit, and we never really worried too much about it. I'd say lay the tiles on the floor for an hour or two in the area you'll be installing, then go ahead.

Can this tile layed down on old hard wood. Or should I use an underlayment?
    ByDec 15, 2024
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

This tile can be installed over most sound and smooth subfloors, including wood. It's designed so that an underlayment is not required. However, it's essential to ensure your existing hardwood floor is dry, clean, and level before installation. If your hardwood floor has any significant imperfections, using an underlayment might be a good idea to create a smoother surface.

is the tile surface flat or shiny? looking for a flat finish
    ByNov 14, 2024
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

The tile has a medium gloss finish. This means it's not completely flat, nor is it high-shine. It falls somewhere in between.

It says not to be used on osb but can I use it on new osb subfloor that was patched in? Also with loctite adhesive for extra strength?
    ByNov 4, 2024
    1 Answer |
    Answer This Question

The TrafficMaster Peel and Stick Vinyl Plank flooring should only be installed on properly prepared concrete, existing sheet vinyl, or underlayment grade plywood. Using it on OSB, even new or patched OSB, is not recommended and could void the manufacturer's warranty. The adhesive is designed for specific substrates, and using other adhesives, like Loctite, is not recommended and may also void the warranty. It's best to follow the manufacturer's installation guidelines for optimal performance and warranty coverage.

Installed over old vinyl sheet flooring which probably had asbestos backing. Prepped floor by cleaning with TSP solution and wiping with denatured alcohol as I was laying it. The flooring stuck well and cuts easy with utility knife score and snap. I used a large framing square and 2x3 plywood cutting board while installing. Looks good.

PATTERN WILL NOT MATCH END TO END!
Bought three boxes, laid the first tile down, went through all three boxes and discovered there is not a continuation possibility out of ALL the other 29 tiles, Called the representative and asked "What is the secret"? He was very professional when he said there is no secret, it isn't supposed to match. So we went with the crisscross pattern and the stress was relieved! It just required more cutting. See photos of the frustrated vs the stress free installation, HINT; Before you peel any paper backing, lay the tiles out in a bigger room first and take a picture of the pattern you create, print the picture and lay it on the floor in front of you as a guide!

      Looks really sharp
I was nervous about doing peel and stick flooring but based on the reviews, the lifetime guarantee and most importantly, the cost, I decided to give these a try in my basement after my vinyl flooring had to be ripped up following a flood. They were very easy to work with (my 12-year-old daughter helped me install them) and they look great. There is a seam in the concrete in the middle of the floor and we'll probably need a little extra adhesive in that spot, but everywhere else it's flat and well-adhered.

        Bright and Easy
This was an update to damage from Hurricane Ian. It took us a bit to get the time to replace the flooring. The walls, windows, entry door, and roll-up doors were all severely damaged. We could only find the darker wall paneling after the storm and wanted something lighter in color to keep away from the dungeon effect. We moved walls, built-in shelfs, and doors for a better office flow. Turned our pretty nice.
