Willow Kirkdale Texture Residential 18 in. x 18 in. Carpet Tile (10 Tiles/Case)

PROS End result looks very nice, color is lovely neutral grey-beige, compliments gray walls & white trim. pretty soft to walk on considering padding is thin. bought these for a small home office 10x10. Didn’t feel like having workers come to the home during pandemic and wanted a home project. CONS took two full day to lay because the process is slow in that you REALLYneed to use the painters tape method to masks of all the edges of where you are laying (then pull the tape out immediately after laying) other wise the nap will get stuck in the adhesive underneath and your seams will show!! (I tried with and without and it makes a big difference.) must make sure your as square as possible or a gap will form..And make sure your laying arrows in correct direction (this gets harder when doing jig saw cuts, because flipping it around alot) I used an exacto knife and the cardboard to cut from the backside. The sticky stuff really only good for one lay.. so if you mess up and remove a tile will need a new one or supplemental glue/tape. I waited to vacuum until the adhesive had a day to settle and noticed a little more suctioned happening but did not seem to pull anything up like I feared ( my dyson is very powerful so was worried) all in all am happy with results .

I normally DIY, but this install was a disaster. Lining up the tiles to hide the seams in large spaces was impossible, despite numerous attempts. The seams were less noticeable in small areas. Had to rip it all out and remove the glue from the floor.

Overall a decent looking product but the 18"x18" squares varied in size between 17 5/8" and 18" Most were between 17 3/4" and 18", but even with that 1/4" variance it doesn't take many rows to have things way out of square, which makes installation tougher and appearance not as good. Also doesn't seem to be a great overall value - we purchased enough for about 650sf in the basement and could have purchased similar quality, traditional carpet from a carpet company done for the same price.

I used blue painters tape at first to hold back the fibers. The biggest trick was to ensure you didn’t lay fibers down under the seams as that made the seams show. Other than that the other two tricks was to use a T square and blade to cut and to use double sided carpet tape when needed. Occasionally used pieces Of tape on corners and all along walls and entranceway. Considering laying down cork underlayment to add Some more cushion. Wife wasn’t impressed with cushion I was fine with it. Slightly harder than regular carpet. I also a painted subfloor with anti mold primer and made sure it was super clean. I actually prefer the tile to be slightly less sticky To help slide them together keeping fibers apart. I also laid brick style. Overall saved over 1000$ for just 3 rooms. Tapped them down as I went with rubber mallet

It was a decent product. No where near as sticky as the other hardware store's version they carry. The arrows to follow the way it's sewed vary from box to box. I did a whole room before realizing the arrows don't mean a certain direction, just the same direction for that box. After peeling them up and spinning them to match the right direction they didn't really stick at all! Some had arrows pointing in both directions!? I recommend it, but feel I should recieve a rebate for the arrows varying every box causing me to replace tiles that didn't stick anymore from spinning. Not worth $64 a box either!

Very nice quality, comfortable carpet. Unfortunately the squares are not perfectly uniform so there will be drift along the seams. As long as you're careful you can still keep most of them hidden.

install was easy. most seams became invisible after installation.

We wanted something with a pad and the option for us to install on our without a crazy amount of extra tools to buy or rent. The carpet feel good was pretty easy to install. I hope it lasts. This was the only carpet square we found with extra padding on it which was a big reason why we purchased it.

The carpet is nice and soft, but I have to agree with the other reviews about the size. They were not all the same size in the same box. Some were off by as much as half an inch. I also wish the back were a little stickier. I had to use glue to help hold down some of the corners.
