Country style.
This is the second batch of barn wood I have ordered. This batch (white) resembles barn wood that has weathered and then been painted. The paint has a fairly thick coverage. The gray wood I used last time resembles un-treated weathered wood. The wood is distressed on one side with a mill finish on the other three sides. Both finishes have touch up paint or stain available. Good product for Country themed projects. Used for trim on a project utilizing nickle slot shiplap boards.

The weight of the boards was great. Easy to handle...
The weight of the boards was great. Easy to handle by one person. I was working alone to place it as chair rail. The color was more coffee color than light brown but turned out okay. The width of each board varied so the ends didn't match up. It was not well sanded, therefore it caused frequent splinters. It definitely lived up to it's rustic title. I would have gone with a different board if not pressed for time.

Color not as it appears
The wire brushed texture is very beautifully executed. The color is thin overall. The charcoal appears to be green because of the thin color application. You will see raw blonde wood overall. We are going to apply additional color to make it more "charcoal" less "pine green".

Barn wood and shiplap.
Exactly what I needed for my project. Matched the gray barn wood with whitewashed shiplap siding to make a mudroom bench and coat rack/mail slot. My daughter in law loves the contrast.

Just great for creating faux ceiling beams
After looking at the prices for faux ceiling beam (wow, how expensive!) I decided to create my own. Searched and found this, and it's perfect! I selected the light brown, kinda hoping it would be a bit darker than what was pictured here, and bingo! It was delivered in a very few days after ordering.
To make the faux beam, I used 3 of these boards plus an unfinished pine board of the same dimensions (5/8" x 3-1/2" x 8') also purchased at Home Depot, and mounted the unfinished board flat to the ceiling. Made the rest of the "box beam" out of three of these barn wood boards and screwed them to the unfinished board on the ceiling, to get the look you can see in the photo. Used dark coarse-threaded drywall screws of various sizes for the entire job.
As a plus, we can hang pretty much anything on this, as it's real wood, and not styrofoam or some composite stuff. And it was easy to touch up the boards with Old English scratch cover.

The finished product looks great, but this wood has issues. Only one side is painted fully, so using the other side was not easy. The other edge is painted with what looks like one coat, so using both edges is difficult. Some boards were badly warped (this has nothing to do with shipping, shipping does not warp boards. Not using a kiln to dry the wood does), causing me to have to cut them down to cut out the bad parts, increasing waste. Buy extra and you should have a nice looking final result.

Please be aware these are not all exactly the same width. They are rustic and somewhat uneven. The overall project came out beautiful, but there were some frustrations. I advise you use the piece you are actually going to nail up to measure and it should go smoothly.

Poor Quality
It was nice to have pre- stained wood, but that’s where the joy ends. All of our wood was warped, some very warped. Also, the wood was all different lengths, so we had to do a lot of trimming.
