This product is awesome. Had to deduct one star because the actual product could use a couple more coats of paint. We have had it for about a month and the paint has rubbed off where it moves in the cradle. Other than that, it is awesome and we love that you can cut it to size and it isn't retractable.

Excellent product for preventing forcible entry through sliding glass doors. I have been using them for over thirty years dating back to when they were known as Charley Bars prior to being bought out by Ultra Hardware. Have never seen a better item to prevent jimmying of sliders, and far superior to placing bars, etc. in the lower tracks.

The product was easy to install. Be aware though that you will need a metal blade either on a hacksaw or jig saw, to cut the arm shorter. I'm surprised that the hinger mounting bracket was not painted white like the bar, but that's ok.
