Q:With these teeth sticking out... How does it break ice. A regular shovel the tip can be slammed into the ground but this doesn't look to have the same ability

Q:would this shovel damage my new pavers

Answer This Question

A:  No. Unlike shovels that add a metal blade that can cut composite decks and scratch decorative bricks this shovel has no metal. The engineered plastic blade of this unique shovel is strong and durable to withstand the riggers of snow removal w/out metal

Q:Will this scratch surfaces like trex

    Answer This Question

A:  This shovel is designed to withstand the challenges of snow removal without the need for a metal cut-strip added to the blade. Metal cut-strips are not recommended for shoveling composite deck materials and expensive bricks or textured concrete.

A:  It will destroy and scratch composite decks. Look at my photo review. The bottom of the fingers has exposed metal right where it needs to glide across your deck.

Cannot be used on composite decks - Don't order!
I purchased the shovel because others have recommended it for composite decking. The base of the shovel fingers has exposed metal where it needs to ride and glide across your deck. See photos. This will ruin any composite deck. The whole point of my purchase was to get a shovel safe for my new Trex deck. Look elsewhere for a shovel. This one is pointless (Except for the pointy metal that is ready to ruin your deck). This is going back to Home Depot, or will be headed for the landfill.

Worked well, until it got cold.
I was pushing about 50 lbs of snow, straight down the driveway. Hit a clean expansion joint between the driveway and the sidewalk. And… splat. The blade broke in two. The only difference between this task and previous tasks is that it’s much colder (-5F) outside. I assume the cold temps made the plastic brittle. Anyway, I don’t have a car so it’s not like I can run and get a new one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The new one probably won’t be the same model or brand.

            I really love this shovel.
This shovel really does jump sidewalk cracks. As you can see in my pics my sidewalk cracks are pretty large. I love this shovel and enjoy shoveling again.

              CRAZY GOOD
All my friends recommend this product and I see why. As my image shows, it clears snow cleanly and a lot of it and it does it better than all my std gut-punching shovels. The 3 cracking jumping guides work amazingly as they skip over the many cracks in my driveway. Funny story...My brother spent $10k on a new drive just to eliminate the pain of sidewalk cracks. He wishes he saw this product first.

doesn't work, also doesn't scrape clear
The 3 spikes lift the clearing edge off the ground, so wherever you shovel, it will NOT clear down to the concrete (photo). See my old sun cast (that's bent and lost it's metal edge) vs this new crack jumper in the included pictures. The left side that isn't cleared was done after for the best possible results for the crack jumper. It also doesn't work well, the included pic of the crack jammed the shovel It's just a poorly designed shovel.

                  No equal !!!
A true combo shovel. The bucket shape and size is perfect for pushing or lifting. Obviously the crack jumper capability is a key feature of the shovel and the reason I bought it, and it works as advertised. However, the 2-hand handle is the best I've ever seen. My lower back doesn't complain like with my old shovels. What I found is the grip's angle allows you to use your legs and not your back for pushing. It also aids in lifting too. A+++

                    It’s a crack jumper!!
My new paver deck lead me to the Crack Jumper Snow Shovel and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Not only does it jump cracks the grip is so properly designed for pushing without bending over I felt great after shoveling for over an hour. Great Shovel.

                      Broke after a couple uses
I bought two of these, and they both broke during the first heavy, wet snowstorm. We used them three times, when the now was lighter and fluffy, but on the fourth storm they both snapped in the middle of the shovel part.

It doesn't clear the snow at the pavement level. I had to use another shovel
