Excellent for all drywall finishing steps including embedding tape, filling, and skim coating.
Minor Patching Repairs
Sand repair area and fill with joint compound. Let harden. Add second coat if necessary. Sand and prime when dry.
Embedding Joint Tape
Fill seams with compound. Apply tape, smooth onto compound with taping knife. Spread thin second coat on top of tape.
Covering Fasteners
To determine if fasteners are seated, draw clean knife over each. If metallic ring occurs, carefully drive fastener below surface.
Finishing Tip
Use fine-grit sanding block to prevent digging into compound. Avoid roughening surface paper. (Repair roughening with small amount of compound.)

Smooth and easy
First time I’ve ever used joint compound and I fell in love. Goes on smoothly. The container helps it to not dry out. I’ve currently had mine open and have been using a week, still soft, no hard spots. Wait 24 hours, light sand and it’s a perfect wall.

Perfect for repairing garage ceiling. Actually this is very smooth and would work anywhere. Garage ceiling is having issues - it's 40 years old and was poorly installed with nails, and sloppy joint treatment. So needed to replace several sections and I am inserting screws and re-taping and then covering the joints. This compound spreads easily, no dripping and is hiding the tape and screws with minimal thickness applied. Several areas are tight around where the garage door rails attach. This compound is easy to use in these tight areas with little mess. It spreads where I what it. I am letting it dry over night. Still have a lot to do before painting.

I like the packaging. When using smaller quantities, good to use the bucket. The product in a plastic bag in a box means later use will result in dried pieces falling back into the product. But with the bucket it all stays fresh, without any "trash" being introduced into the product.

I generally purchase 5 Gallon buckets of joint compound, but my present project has moved to the finished stages. I love the 3.5 qt. quantity -- everything stays nice and fresh, it's convenient to move about, and the little bucket is wide enough for a 5" trowel. This compound has a perfect viscosity, dries very hard, and sands without much dust. It is easy to obtain an absolutely smooth finish.
