Common Board Craftsman Window Trim
I used common board as a window trim project. I love how it turned out and it was easy to work with and the wood didnt split when I used a nail gun on the 1” side. Only tip I have is to take your time at the store to pick out the right one for your project. I checked mainly for no knots along the edges, no splitting in the wood, and straightness. Lift one side up to eye level and look down the 1” side to check if the wood is significantly bowed.

Baseboards and trim!
We picked out own boards when we went into the store so we got very straight boards. The majority were straight, but some were pretty bowed or curved. As long as you pay attention when you pick them out you shouldn't have much problem with that. They were very smooth also! We used them as baseboards for our house and door and window trim (along with 1x4's and 1x2's) and love the look. (also used 1/4 in. plywood from HD for shiplap on the walls) It was so easy and we will always come back to Home Depot for our home needs!

replace part of roof facing board that was damaged
this board was a good fit to replace the existing damaged board. It is smooth and has good square edges and ends.

Better than average
Found these boards to be fairly good. Had to select the clearest boards for my intended use. Most boards were in good to great overall condition. Straight. Flat. Minimal/no knots on the edges. Minimal to no surface defects. Minimal knots throughout the boards.

Not for exterior use
$10 per board. Advertised as indoor and outdoor use. Weatherproofed with two coats of Behr weatherproof semitransparent stain and sealer per advice from Home Depot employee in paint department. Less than a week outdoors with two days of rain and already the wood is warping and pulling the nails out. So what, it needed 4 coats? 6? I don't believe these boards should be advertised for outdoor use. With a price tag of $10 each, I'm highly disappointed in this product. Do not use for outdoor applications.
