The Universal Hardware UL Listed Panic Device With Standard Pull and Cylinder is very well made. It complies with ADA regulations. It is versatile, fitting doors 28-42 inches wide and from1 3/4 - 2 inches thick. It can also be installed right or left. It has a brass lock cylinder, pull plate, and a deadbolt-type latch with a 5/8 inch throw. I plan to put it on one of my building doors and will try to add an installed photo to my review in the near future.

This Commercial grade is made with heavy duty Steel plate material with aluminum finish to against seasonal corrosion. Every of part are well machinery formed. By press the bar the movement is freely smooth. The width will fit for 36" - 42" door with 2-3/4" thickness or greater. Either Left or Right of the door installation are applicable. Down size to 28" is applicable to trim cut the main body housing as cut line marked on the back of the housing. There you will find a mark of cut line on the back of the housing where you can the width to match your door width. As you know panic device is one way out design like most exit device on most store or warehouse. Unless you need a key to open the door. Internally, a hexagon key is provided for you can insert to hole of bar to keep the device unlock. For today property security, A panic device is most welcome for those home owner who want to secure that their door. ( epically, the side door ) which is most common in break in the house. It meet UL305 standard requirement Confidently, every of the parts are fully metal applied to against breakage. Installation hardware are fully prepared for installation. This is a well made emergency exit panic bar. I have the satin aluminum finished set. All the components are heavy duty and well finished. The operation is smooth and works well. It is listed by UL and it is ADA compliant if installed correctly. This set fits doors 36” and up to 42” wide. It also can be cut down to fit doors as small as 28”wide. This set includes a 6 pin keyed lock and a finger pull for the exterior. A handle set is not included. This can be used on LH or RH doors without modifications. Hardware is included for metal and wood doors 1-3/4” to 2” thick. Also the latch can be locked open with the use of a hex wrench, which is supplied. It is a nice unit.

The Universal Harware Panic device is EXCELLENT! Well made (almost all) metal unit is truly HEAVY DUTY. It will be installed between storage room and exterior of shop. It comes with all hardware necessary for mounting and includes installation instructions AND template. I like the push-bar feature. It is integral to the body of the device (i.e., not a single bar protruding out from the unit). The manufacturer even INCLUDED a keyed cylinder with the panic bar. Functional, practical and very well made.

There are 2 different versions of this panic bar exit device UH40010 (see photos) and the pull plate trim UH40011. You must have the correct versions of each to be compatible. The unpackaged panic bar and pull plate in my photos are compatible. The packaged panic bar and pull plate are the other versions that are compatible. Works great but it was very misleading to have different versions of the same product that are incompatible. Home Depot sent me incompatible versions on first order.

This is good quality panic hardware. One note, the description says it comes with a cylinder and pull handle. However, these items are a separate item and are not including in this package. I have a review on them as well. The product takes about an hour to install, and will cover a door with a single bore. If you have a double bore, the outside can be covered by the handle if you mount it upside down, but the inside will not be covered by the product. You must drill two 3/4" or larger holes through the door slab to mount this product. I is simple to install if you have some construction skills. You can mount this product to a door with no hole bores and without and hardware on the outside if you choose. It will open only from the inside and have way to open it from the outside.

Needed a panic device to be replaced for a budget minded account. This was a door not used very often but once a day so thought this might meet the needs. To my surprise the hardware was very sturdy and durable for the use it will see compared to devices I have used. My only issue was installation was a little more involved that most but still you can get there with the fairly decent instructions. Operation was smooth and easy to adapt to the door.

This is a nice, heavy duty panic bar/door latch. We installed it in our heavy use industrial facility. This replaced a worn out older unit. I was glad to see this new panic bar has nice weight and build quality in this age where so many other items are being made more cheaply. This was a fast easy swap with the old unit and has nice simple adjustability. Love the million cycle and 10 year guarantee. You don't have to use the lock cylinder if you're door isn't drilled out for it. We didn't need a keyed cylinder as this is an exit only door for us. Highly Recommend!

Aluminum Rim Panic Device with Standard Pull and Cylinder The product is as described by the product description. Seems very well made and heavy duty, and the install was fairly easy. I suggest watching a YouTube video or two showing professionals installing push bars, as their tips plus use of common sense are infinitely more helpful. Product serves the purpose we needed it to, appears as if it will last. A tenant in my commercial building has had problems with the existing push pedal opener. Rather than attempt a repair I opted for a new push bar. The actual lock mechanism worked smoothly and easily when the bar was pushed. The chassis assembly that houses the lock is solid and strong. It uses Schlage mortise cylinder that come with bar. It is working perfect with their pull plate with cylinder hole. Perfect product for multi housing buildings because it is ADA approved and best of all life time warranty.

I have to replace exit bars fairly regularly - I have been trying to find a bar that holds up to rough abuse better. I installed this bar and put it in play against another bar similar. I found this bar to seem to be very solid in nature. It is built well and works very well. I had no issues with adjusting the bar for use. This made my day as sometimes these bars take a few adjustments to get working right. This unit so far is showing to be solid. It works well and working like a fine timepiece
