Well, the box shows 10 rows. So I am gathering that there are 4X10 = 40 total?

That was the essence of my original question, as it already states that there are 4 in each pack ;)
Asked by: NeedStakes
No. There are 4 individual stakes only.

How many per pack?

What is the total number of stakes then?
Asked by: NeedStakes
4 stakes.

Are these stakes galvanized or just plain steel? There is nothing in the packaging that documents that these are galvanized

except the comment on the web
Asked by: Steve
The stakes are made of galvanized steel for strength.

Good thing about these is that when they corrode over several years, the corrosion build up anchors the stake even tighter in the soil.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Stakes The only bad part about these stakes is that some of the edges were sharp. Be careful when handling and hammering in the ground. Make sure you have enough of them for your project.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not good if you have any hardpan. I bought a bunch of these and had to dig a hole and refill it due to rocks and hardpan. I bought some composite "nails" that were cheaper and immensely superior to these. I would not recommend these if you can find the nail-type. These would angle around any rocks, the nail-type worked better at getting around the rocks.
