For spaces up to 600 sq. ft. , the Venta LW45 Airwasher humidifies dry room air while simultaneously purifying it by removing dust, pollen, pet dander, and other airborne pollutants down to 10 microns in size. AnswersHI, ok this is how it is, AIR FLOW, any unit, weather it be a dehumidifier, humidifier, heater, air purifier, etc. can only work in 1 room at a time unless their is air flow between the rooms, or you have pockets of stagnant which is to say non moving air that will not be affected by any of the units. you MUST have a cross flow of moving air between rooms for any unit to do more then 1 room.
does this unit need a 240 volt recepticle like a dryer would

AnswersOur Airwashers utilize a natural humidification process called Cold Evaporation which ensures the unit maintains healthy humidity levels between 35% to 50%. Once the humidity in your space reaches the maximum healthy level, the fan will remain on, even though the air has absorbed the proper moisture. Venta Airwashers will not over-humidify the space even when the fan continues to run. Coupling won’t stay connected to the gear

AnswerFirst we recommend removing the Rubber Coupling, Mounting Ring, and Gear Box from the unit completely, and reassemble outside of the Airwasher prior to reconnecting the components back to the motor and fan. If the Rubber Coupling still will not stay connected to the Gear Box, you may need a new Rubber Coupling & Mounting Ring, a new Gear Box, or both. For additional assistance, please feel free to contact Venta USA support directly.

I have one of these for my pet Iguana for her humidity as she is such a nice good natured pet.
It is one of 3 I have for her, their is this unit, a Honeywell wick type unit and a zoomed fogger.
This one has proven to be the most maintenance free, the Honeywell burns through wicks, really does not humidify better then this unit and it also can not clean the dust out of the air.
The zoomed unit has been replaced 1 or 2 times in the same time I have has this unit due to total failure, and I have had to replace the fogger fan's so many times I have a box of replacement fans not to mention having to scrape off build up on the vibrating disk and it also can not suck the dust out of the air.
SO out of 3 different types of humidifiers being this kind, wick type and misting, this one seems to be the best unit as it requires the least maintenance and does not need to be baby sit like the other 2 types of units.
As their really is some thing to be said for how much of your time a humidifier should take up and constant maintenance really is not desirable.
So if your sick of units that the wicks go dry in so you have to soak them every day and replace them too often, or misting types that the vibrating disk or fans go bad in all of the time, try one of these as you will not be disappointed.

This is wonderful if you have some nose bleeds when it's really cold in the winter ! I did not have but one this year compared to several as I usually do. It is easy to clean every two weeks & I only wished that Home Depot offered the most important thing you must buy Venta water treatment additive that you add to it every two weeks when you clean it out. The is a must to have ! Home Depot sells all the Venta products except for the Water Treatment Additive & I wished I didn't have to shop around for it else where ! That is the only down side. Please start stocking this Home Depot !
