Found the extension
It is sort of loud. Overall we like the style and price and it seems to work well. We realized after it was installed that the hood extension we purchased didn’t fit and Home Depot doesn’t have one. As recommended by the customer rep, we called the number given/looked online at the Hauslane website and found the extension for a different hood that FITS this Vissani range hood- Chimney Extension - CHE001 (WM-530 / WM-538)
Make sure the measurements line up before ordering. Worked for us!

Pretty good, but chimney won't sit flat on ceiling
I was looking at another brand which offered more bang for buck, but this one has an wider chimney (11") than most which allowed me to snake the duct around a ceiling truss that was right where the hood needed to go. I followed the directions to a tee and couldn't get the chimney to sit flat on the ceiling--ignore the directions and install the bracket that holds up the chimney as high on the wall as it will go. The lights are great, very bright white. Fan performance meets expectations.

It’s great, love it.
Ductless install. No more smoke with stir fry’s, mushrooms, burgers, etc. Less cooking smell to. Thick steaks still set off the smoke alarm so one less star for that reason. Self installed, went up pretty easy. Looks great IMHO. BONUS: Home Depot had the charcoal filters on sale. Normally $27 a pair, on sale $6.75 a pair. I bought 6 pair! Yahoo!

LED Vortex Phenomena
Installation of the hood was fairly straight forward. The hood comes with a “plug” so ensure that you have a standard three prong plug receptacle. Recommend using existing studs to screw in to as the provided wall anchors were inadequate. I noticed that when in use (L-M-H) the LED lights, due to the position inside the front edge of the hood, actually create a vortex and pulls the air up through the light receptacle. It does come w/ 6” dia.x 5-6’ flex ducting & box bracket.

Recommend, however…
Performs adequate and looks great. The anchors it came with never tightened all the way. I would use your own. The cover for the hood did not latch into place as per the video instructions. I had to raise the bracket in order to get a flush with the ceiling installation. Great hood for the price.
