      Answer This Question

A:  Sure. I used mine for that all the time. Just use enough water, so your drill doesn't overheat. Cement or concrete can be really thick.

      by|Aug 31, 2020

A:  This mixer is not strong enough for any type of high-viscosity substances. Use a trowel for small batches of cement or a shovel for large ones.

        by|Aug 21, 2020

A:  IT's kind of small for concrete , It's made with fairly heavy duty metal and works great on paint & drywall mud . . but if you are mixing more then a gallon or two of concrete I wouldn't buy it .

          by|Nov 12, 2019

A:  No, it is not recommended to be used to mix cement.

Q:How would you clean the epoxy resin off the mixer?

A:  Not sure about Epoxy resin. I mixed waterborne paint and drive-way asphalt sealer w it for a couple of times. I cleaned it right away after the use like this: - sink it in a small bucket of water. - turn on the drill and switch the direction for a few times. - brush the mixer thoroughly for a few times w a small cheap brush. Throw the brush away after the use.

A:  Read the instructions of your epoxy mix, which should give detail on how to clean-up after you are done. It is strongly advised to remove the epoxy from the mixer as quickly as possible.

                    by|Aug 21, 2020

A:  Follow clean up directions on the epoxy that you are using. Most likely mineral spirits or paint thinner but it all depends on the type of epoxy you are using. If you let it set to long then you will probably have to throw it away and buy another.

A:  I would never use enough resin at one time, to need one. If you do, and it doesn't harden, try acetone. It's real dangerous, so follow every safety precaution. If it hardens - you'll probably need a 4" grinder, or a new one.

A:  You will need to find a cleaner that will remove the epoxy resin off it sorry that I don't know of any !!!!!!!!!!! Wish I was able to help .

                            Removing top is impossible
This comes with an attached hook for hanging that is so tightly squeezed on it that it's impossible to remove. I tried to pry it off with a flat head screwdriver which just scratched it up so I was left with no choice but to cut it off. Even with the very sharp knife it was extremely difficult and the hook is now useless. I don't understand why they would put this on so tight. Then after doing all of that it wouldn't fit by 1/2 inch drill so I have waisted $2 and have to find something else. Thank goodness it's only $2 but I'm beyond frustrated.

We are using this to mix sugar and water only to make 3 gallon batches of 2:1 feeding syrup for bees. Can't speak to heavier usage. For the purpose we use it, mounted to a cordless drill, it is fantastic. It mixes much faster and with much less effort than stirring. Perfect solution. Looks quite sturdy and a real bargin at the price.

I just finished using it twice on my balcony project and the mixer worked just fine. Mixed a hardner and resin combination, to be used as a primer. Cleaned up real nicely, as well.
