Yes. I used my and a second pump to drain my pool.
The WPCP250 turns on and off at a lower level and the unit has a magnetic switch instead of a sensor. Please if you have any other questions, call us at 800-237-0987 Monday thru Friday 8am till 5pm EST Thank you,
Pretty sure Home Depot should answer questions about inventory availability. I like the pump by the way. Three years and still going.
Hi. I use it for my in ground pool that has a a tight loop loc cover. I put it on the first step of the pool before the pool is closed. once the water gets above about 1.25 in, the pump is triggered to start pumping. If there's a heavy rainstorm it continues pumping until it gets to 1.25 in and then it stopped. I'm not sure how this pump would work on a tarp tight cover because of the weight of the pump.pushing down on the tarp with water on it. I suppose it could work. I like that it automatically turns on and off. I might use a smaller less powerful type of pump on a tarp cover.
Remove the bottom plastic impeller cover and lean area out, also clean the sensor well.
No marbles, but the rope it comes with makes it easy to pull around as it is pretty lightweight
My pump usually starts when the water is above the blue base.
