Q:Using the Leasafe 6 ft 3x ladder, what's the lowest step a 5.5 person can stand on to reach and put boxes onto a 10 foot shelf? I don't care about max reach, I'm interested in minimum reach to do the job, so as not needing to stand of highest steps.

Weak Link
We had 2 of these at work and on both of them the plastic tabs that release the leg broke off. These parts are not available from the manufacturer.

Good but no spare parts
I like this ladder but i just had the unfortunate problem of one of my pull levers broke because of the cold and now my almost $200 ladder is useless and super difficult to open and I can’t seem to find any parts for it. 😔 this sucks cause its my only ladder i use for my company, still using it but actually. But super annoyed and looking for another option.

DANGEROUS
We bought this ladder in January 2021 and it failed the following week, the second time it was used. My husband was trimming a tree and one of the plastic hinges that attach the extension broke in two. He fell hard but was able to toss the chain saw aside before he landed. Split lip and bloody nose, but it could have been much worse. Home Depot, please do not sell any more of these ladders.

Durable and Versatile Ladder!

The ladder comes with a hardware and tool storage area on the top of the step ladder. The lean part of the ladder also has nicely padded bumpers so to not damage the existing wall and to give you more stability. The ladder adjusts by squishing two levers. My wooden widow maker had its final use the other day so made the choice to order the Werner 3 in one Leansafe fiberglass/aluminum type IAA 375 lb. capacity ladder. I couldn’t be more happy with this ladder. It is truly the all around household or job site ladder. This thing is built for duty. For each position of use (step ladder, straight ladder) the single latch frame lock is positively locked and only by you depressing the latch can it be changed-one handed yet. The feet all have non-marring rubber pads. This model has an advertised reach of 13’ for the extension ladder position, 10’ for the wall and step ladder position. The top has a nice area for holding tools or hardware and one of the compartments is magnetic. The steps are 3” wide and are slip resistant. Its storage height is just over 6’ and weighs about 25 lbs. This is one solid ladder! I think it will handle just about any task around the house and last for years. I’m very satisfied with it and would recommend it.

I have always had confidence in Werner Co Ladders and I highly recommend this one. It is a very sturdy built ladder with comfortable rungs to stand upon. I used this ladder ,(and an extension one), to screen in my daughter's back porch. The larger rubber feet made it easy to level with paving stones. For safety reasons, I tied the ladder off to the house. The ladder never tried to slide or wiggle during use or climbing.
The A-frame just the right height for me to reach my ceilings. The top of the ladder has a small tool tray, screw driver holes and a hole for a drill. It also has two small trays on the back of the top for screws or bits.
This is a great ladder and has a weight capacity over 350 pounds..

This ladder is pretty awesome. I really like how easy it is to deploy into a step ladder, and doesn’t need bracing hinges to stay in place.
That means pinch free hinges, one handed operation, and the ladder actually locks in place during transport.
You can watch videos on YouTube for all the features, but two favorite are the magnetic parts tray up top and how sturdy the ladder is bracing on a corner.
I may actually look into the shorter version of the version for general duty stuff, as the one draw back is this ladder is kind of heavy and oddly balanced. Some kind of integrated carry handle would have been a good idea. Quality of the ladder is super high and have no doubt this is going to last me a lifetime.
