Q:Can this fan be installed as a ceiling hugger without the rod ? Also can the wall light switch turn the light in the fan on and off ?

Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. This fan cannot be installed as a hugger-style ceiling fan. It is a down-rod-only ceiling fan and needs to be used with the included down rod or a longer down rod. This fan includes a ceiling fan and light remote control to operate the fan speeds and turn on/off and dim the light kit. The wall light switch could turn on/off the light kit once the remote control was used to turn the light on.

        A:  This fan includes (2) candelabra (E12) base, 4.5 Watt B11 LED light bulbs. These included LED's are 2700 kelvin and warm white in color. Westinghouse Lighting does not offer B11 candelabra base LED's in daylight color but if may use another manufacturers LED in daylight color.

          Seems like a high quality product so far, it’s quite and well balanced. My only issue was the screw holes, the manufacturer should have done something to protect them from the powdercoat finish, it was difficult to get the screws started and they were metric threads and metric taps aren’t available in the average hardware store. I ended up carefully grinding a tapper on screws to get them to start easier in the holes.
