Can I just use a single pole switch to turn it on and off?
Thank you for your question. This model will only operate at high speed when operated without the included wall control or without an alternate speed switch rated for use with ceiling fans. A qualified person should do the installation in this manner in accordance with the local building code. Fan-rated wall controls provide built-in protection from voltage spikes that may negatively impact the fan motor. For proper operation, the installer must ensure the correct/consistent 120V AC power is being supplied to the fan at all times. The included wall control provides built-in protection from voltage spikes.
Can I use a different wall control switch than the one it comes with?
Thank you for your question. Our 7812700 Industrial-style ceiling fan comes with an offset 5-speed wall remote control. You can also use our 7787200 ceiling fan wall control item 7787200 ceiling to operate one fan. This will change the fan from a 5-speed fan to a 4-speed fan.
