Good compactor for the price and quality.
Compact design and great for household garden work. Small form factor definitely not for pro jobs but I'm sure it can handle but will take longer.
Only negative is the compactor shipped with the motor oil drained. Upon opening the box motor oil was all over the sides of the motor and topside of plate. They didn't clean up when shipping.

Great compactor for paver patio preparation
Skip the rental and just buy this one. Started right out of the box, includes oil and filter (although mine was crushed), one pull everytime. Great for do it yourselfers. Would have cost me a $1000 worth of rental time with what I ended up doing.

It did exactly what I expected it to do. I bought it to use for a 1,100 sf concrete paver project. I used it to compact subgrade, gravel base and the concrete pavers. I had to adapt the paver pad from a WEN model because the pad for this model was out of stock. The machine starts easily and runs with very little effort. The only complaint is that the speed control lever requires you to keep pressure on it all the time, otherwise it slows down. Not a big deal, but a bit annoying. The wheels are also the best thing. It allows you to easily wheel it around instead of lifting it!

This is a really nice affordable unit for large homeowner projects. It was reliable and got the job done in a timely manner. By purchasing this I had it on hand to use whenever I needed it unlike a rental unit. This was essential in properly completing my project in a timely manner.

I am very pleased with the power this compactor presents. I'm building two 4ft retaining walls, 120ft long and it compacts #57 stones immediately. Its not really loud but is heavy for such a small machine. The wheels is a great addition. Great on fuel too! I looked at other blogs and this one seems to be the favorite for its size. I was afraid that having a pull starter would be a pain but it starts on every pull the 1st or 2nd time. Great buy! So glad that I did not rent a unit. The cost would've have been much higher. This way, I have a compactor for my next project

I'm working on my patio by myself (female) part time after work and I do not have a truck to haul a rental back and forth so I purchased this compactor two weeks ago so I was not pressured in getting done and getting a rental compactor back. This compactor was received (home delivery by UPS) two days after ordering it, well packed. Didn't come with tools to put it together although I was able to use the ones I had (it takes a 14mm, 15mm, and 17mm wrenches) Also need a long narrow funnel to fill the oil. Oil is included (4 cycle 10-30). Went together easily and instructions were very good (although there could be improvement in the instructions for attaching the throttle cable)
Machine started right up the first time and is easy to use. A reverse would have been nice although for the price, I could live without it. So far I have used it several times (between each of the two layers of base twice each and after filling in a few spots) and this compactor does a great job. For commercial use you would probably want a larger heavy duty compactor but for home use, this is perfect. I purchased the three year extended warranty option from Home Depot (which is transferable) with the intent of selling the compactor after completing my patio in the next week or two (although I may keep it) I'm glad I purchased this compactor and would do so over again in the same circumstance. Definitely use ear protection --- it is loud (105db)

Well worth the money 💰
This machine is well worth the money. Have been using it now for the last 3weeks with absolutely no problems. This machine is so easy to use,light weight and does the job it is intended to..would have spent more money on a rental.
