    A:  Yes, this can be used for polyrope.

      A:  Yes, it is designed to hold poly rope, and it will snap shut after the poly rope is positioned into the notch which holds it. You have to be careful how you position your t posts, so the insulator part will extend over the inside of your fence perimeter, without allowing the poly rope to touch the metal of the t post or other metal on your fence. Also, if your t posts are too "hefty," the cap may be too small to fit. Some of the older t posts are heavier and thicker, that I have. In that case, there are other solutions to that problem that I am dealing with, as I go along. I am re using many t posts I have pulled up, so I can reconfigure fencelines, etc.

      These are appropriate if your t-post sits above the top of the welded fence wire. If your t post notches are facing the wrong direction, the safety cap seems to be adaptable to turning it slightly, so that the insulator can remain over the inside of the fence perimeter. I have been learning as I go, with this new product (new to me.)

      This is a great idea for a top wire. It works on either (face or reverse) side of the T-post. It works with ribbon, poly, and metal wire.
