Artificial Turf Infill - ZeoSource Artificial Turf Infill crushed Zeolite is a 100% natural and listed for organic use (by OMRI), non-carcinogenic alternative to SBS or vulcanized rubber pellets used in a wide variety of applications. Zeolite, when used as a turf infill, helps control odors and also crushes down nicely and comfortably under foot. We mine and process only the finest premium Zeolite infill for use on artificial grass, synthetic turf, putting greens and pet kennels. Zeolite is a great, completely natural option for replacing rubber or other infill materials. Zeolite neutralizes odors in turf by utilizing its ion-magnetic characteristics to attract, bind and eliminate odors. Our Zeolite maintains the characteristics of any good artificial grass infill along with the added benefits of reducing surface temperatures through a process of slow water evaporation. We recommend 1.5-3 pounds of infill per square foot of turf. The amount used depends on your specific turf usage. For light use you can go with a lower pounds per square foot application; for a more actively used turf, or when there may be pets using the area, a higher pounds per square foot may need to be applied.

Q:how much infill will i need for a 300 square ft space?
by|Nov 29, 2023

Answer This Question

A:  We recommend 1.5-3 pounds of our 100% natural and OMRI certified zeolite artificial turf infill per square foot of turf. The amount used depends on your specific turf usage. For light use you can go with a lower pounds per square foot application; for a more actively used turf, or when there may be pets using the area, a higher pounds per square foot may need to be applied. (300)*3 inches = 900 (total coverage required for heavy pet use). Divided by 50 (bag weight), this is approximately 18 - 50 lb bags. You would need half of that for lighter trafficked turf at 1.5 inches, so approximately 9 - 50 pound bags. You can always use more or less depending on your specific requirements.

Q:Can this be used under turf or as a patio stone base?
        by|Aug 21, 2023

        Answer This Question

A:  Our Crushed Natural Zeolite for Artificial Turf Infill is intended as an infill material, meaning the top of the turf (just like spreading seed or fertilizer over a lawn). On its own, it is very effective at odor control and neutralizing as well as helping the turf blades "stand up". You can mix our natural zeolite with a variety of base materials, including crushed rock, etc.. "Mix" being key, as our infill is not intended as a base layer on its own. We recommend you consult with a local professional landscaping or turf installation firm for your specific application requirements.

Been down a week. Used 5 gallon bucket with lots of 1/2 inch holes in bottom to apply to turf. One time use for new drop spreader made no sense. Spread it out with carpet rake and then Sprayed down with Enzyme product to fight odors. So for works as advertised regaurding dog "liquid" management and aromas. Had turf down for a couple weeks b4 putting Zeolite down to acclimate turf after it was rolled up for shipping. It was hot during that time and aromas were rather pungent on the days in the high 80°s. Now in mid 70°s and virtually no smell with Zeolite and enzyme spray.

Large granules are very difficult to work into the artificial gras. Brushed with stiff floor broom and raked with leaf rake multiple times and couldn’t work it into turf. Used half what was suggested for square footage. On the good side, the dogs seem fine with it and it eliminates any urine or poop odors.

You will not need as much as you think. I ordered 5 bags and ended up using maybe half a bag. It doesn’t seem to settle into the turf like silica sand would. However, I think if you slowly re apply over time it’s still a good option for pet areas.
