Answer This Question

A:  I'd think you want something a little more sturdy for a temporary window replacement. But yes you could. It's super thin and not water resistant, but it would cover a window.

    A:  Yes you can. 4x8 weighs 20lbs

Q:Can I use this product as a subfloor?

          Answer This Question

A:  This product is designed to be used on top of existing subfloor and beneath final floor coverings as an underlayment. Make sure the existing subfloor is sound, clean of debris and dry before installing Triply.

A:  I would think it would be too thin. It could go on top of subfloor as a flooring itself. I used this product to make shiplap- ripped 8 - 6" boards from each sheet. Worked great!

Q:Can I lay this over existing vinyl floor, and if so, can I just glue it down or still staple? The intent is to cover possible asbestos flooring before laying new LVP.

              Answer This Question

A:  I would glue and staple, and lots of staples. The thin of plywood tends to buckle with any humidity or moisture.

              by|Mar 8, 2023

A:  This should be answered by the manufacture. This is not a question a consumer should answer.

                by|Apr 6, 2023

A:  You can overlay the vinyl, but you should still use staples or nails or screws. No glue.

A:  You can use a utility knife and a straight edge to score and snap this plywood.

                        by|Feb 25, 2023

A:  It can be cut with a utility knife with a new blade and extreme pressure, but using a saw is smarter.

                                A:  Not for exterior use

A:  No.  This will delaminate with moisture exposure.  Even if you’re wet paint is too thick it will delaminate before the paint dries.  I would not use this where exposed to the elements.  Its a floor underlayment.
