Q:What size is it in real life?
Specs say "Common: 2 in. x 4 in. x 8 ft.; Actual: 1.5 in. x 3.5 in. x 104.625 in." Last time I checked, an 8-foot 2x4 was 8 feet long, not 8-foot-8 and 5/8 inches. Typical crappy HD web site specs.

A: This is a pre-cut stud not an 8’ stud. They cut them at this length for framing walls. Once you add a bottom plate and double top plate your wall will be 9’ tall. Saved you time cutting down studs to account for the plates.
