      Q:my current steps are 4 steps but the hight to my porch is 36in not the 47in the 4step measure out to so I'm not sure wether to go with the 4step or the 3step

        A:  Hello Glenc, 22 in. / 7.75 = 2.83” Round up to 3 steps which makes the true step height 7.333 in., and this is within Code.
