      Answer This Question

A:  Yes! I can never go back to the old shims. I've never had any split but maybe they can if you just keep hitting it with an impact. I've installed 8 doors in the last 2 months with these with no issues

Q:Can you use these to level a cast iron bath tub?

      Answer This Question

A:  yes I have actually used them for that exact purpose. I have also used the round rubber furniture leg pads to keep the legs from sliding and protect the floor and they often level up the tub if it is only out of level by a 1/16th or so.

      by|Jul 15, 2019

A:  Generally I like to use metal shims. Between the weight of the tub, water and people in them, there is a lot of weight on the feet. I use the flat galvanized hurricane plates to shim.

A:  Yes, these shims have very high compressive strength. And will not rot.
