A:  Howdy Roy, I've seen many fire-pits made with these cinder blocks and they all seem to hold up well. One thing to remember is that space is needed at the base of a fire to allow oxygen in so that the fire doesn't snuff itself out. Happy Building, Coach Dave

        A:  Yes, I've used my blocks for a few years as a fire pit, using diesel fuel and they have contained the fire and withstood the extreme heat for the last 3years.
