Answer This Question

A:  Plugs into a standard 15 watt outlet

by|Jan 22, 2019

A:  I do not know. The descriptions reads 120 volts. But I returned mine, it was too hard to fill. When you turn it upside down to fill it it practically takes two people. One to hold it while the other pours the water in.

by|Jan 22, 2019

A:  The manual says it uses up to 30 watts and plugs into a standard 120V outlet. It has multiple mist level settings so it might use less at the lower settings.

A:  Good morning, I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for your inquiry and for your interest in our wonderful line of products. We do recommend emptying the base and wiping the inside of the base with a soft cloth or paper towel every time you refill the tank. At each tank refill, please rinse your tank and filter. Never allow water to remain in the tank or base for more than two days. For best results we do recommend cleaning your humidifier once a week as instructed in the manual under “Weekly Cleaning and Care”, for a deeper cleaning you can use a vinegar and water solution. Power the humidifier off, remove the tank & empty any remaining water. Fill the tank over half way with water and 1 cup of white vinegar, using a sponge bottle brush or soft cloth clean the inside of the tank and allow the vinegar solution to soak 15-20 minutes. After soaking, empty the vinegar and water solution from the tank, rinse with plain cool water and unscrew the filter, rinse the filter under the faucet. Allow both the filter and tank to air dry completely before screwing the filter into the tank. Also, unplug the base & empty any water left inside, pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of white vinegar into the base and using a soft cloth or the cleaning brush that came with the unit wipe the inside of the base then allow the base to soak 15-20 minutes as well. You can soak your mist nozzle and extension nozzle in vinegar water as well, rinse and dry completely. Please allow your unit to air out until completely dry when it is time to refill your tank and after every weekly cleaning. Never allow water to remain in the tank for more than two days. Also, let the unit completely air dry before storing it for long periods of time. Best Regards, Allison Souza Customer Care Response Team

A:  It sounds like your room needs either a bigger huidifier, or a second one. Mine, in a 12' by 12' room, reaches the humidity levels every night, and actually goes into snooze mode. Also, I have humidifiers in other areas of the house, which are on during the day. Perhaps you only use your at night in one room, with the door open? If that is so, the humidifier cannot keep up with the entire home's dryness. They do put ratings on how large a room to use this humidifier in in the specifications portion of the information available on this product. You can exceed some, but other factors do matter.

A:  Good afternoon, I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for your inquiry and for your interest in our wonderful line of products. There is a sensor built inside the bottom of the base which reads the humidity surrounding the humidifier. Our humidifiers cover an area of approximately 12x14, which is considered to be an average sized room. In order to get a higher humidistat reading, please ensure that the humidifier is not sitting directly on carpet and please do not place a towel under the humidifier. Please ensure that the humidifier is not sitting directly on carpet or on top of a towel, it will obstruct the sensor. Also, please make sure when running the humidifier the door is closed, otherwise the humidity is escaping. Do not place the humidifier near any window, air/heat vent or near a fan or ceiling fan. Please keep in mind that with colder weather and the heat running consistently inside the house the dry heat will work against the humidity reading increasing. Although the humidity reading may not rise, every time you run the humidifier the mist is creating humidity and you should be able to feel a difference. The easiest way to test that the humidistat function is working is to place a damp paper towel under the humidifier and power the unit on. Increase the mist output to medium or high and allow the humidifier to run for three to five minutes and if the humidistat numbers rise on the display then you know the unit is working properly. If after trying all of the above steps (including the damp paper towel under the base) and the humidistat number still does not rise then there is a problem with the unit and the unit does have a one year replacement warranty. I hope this helps. Should you require further assistance or trouble shooting please feel free to contact us at (877) 959-1234 during our regular business hours 9am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday. We value you as our customer and appreciate your business. Sincerely, Allison Souza Customer Care Response Team

                                            by|May 5, 2023

A:  Dear Valued Customer, The noise being generated by your unit is caused due to corrosion of the fan motor by calcium deposits from the water you are using. When the unit is turned to the high setting some of the mist will flow under the unit entering the part of the base where the motors are located. After a period of time the minerals from the water will create a deposit around the moving parts of the motor creating a resistance on the moving parts causing the motor to work harder, therefore making the noise especially on the lower settings. This particular issue is not due to a malfunction or defect of the unit. The manual provided with the unit suggest using distilled water since the distilling process removes all minerals. Although this is not a manufacturer's defect, we will be happy to replace your unit under the warranty. Your item has a 1 (one) year warranty from the original date of purchase for any manufacturing defects if purchased from an authorized retailer, (outlet stores and on-line vendors are not authorized). Just send us the item with the proof of purchase and your telephone number in case we need to contact you. A:  That is a varible response that cannot be anticipated, dependent upon how much humidity you ask the humidifier to produce, how large the room is, how much of a stream you prefer, and how dry your house is in general. Mine goes through a gallon and a half on a cold, dry night, less than a gallon on a warmer, rainy night. I use distilled water, and hese measurements are based on how much water I use to refill. Also, if you keep it clean, it runs more efficiently.

A:  Depends on the humidity currently in the room and also on the humidity setting. At a 40%setting, my unit will last for 12 hours.

A:  It's usually 2 or 3 days between filling for me, depending on my presence in the room. I fill it to maximum amount....run it on 2nd mist setting. I add water to it when I see through 'window' that it's at base level. I like having mist spraying within feet of me when I'm in my one room office/bedroom 12' x 24' area. I press auto-shut off for 6 hours at bedtime. I press for 3 or 4 hrs. auto shut-off in day-time as I come and go from office. Of course, a full-blast mist spray or vice-versa causes variance.

A:  It depends mainly on your setting. The higher the setting the faster it empties. It will easily last all night on a pretty high setting. Really nice humidifer.

A:  I drink from my tap water and use same water for this and everything else. I fill the tank at my kitchen sink. If I think the top needs wiping or rinsing between fillings, I do so. I have no fear of 'bacteria' in this humidifier .... and no issues of any sort that make me think it's something to worry about. So, no to additives.

I regularly look in base for reddish tinge and slimy feel. If I see any of that I immediately clean. End of season I run it a few hours with some bleach and water then a few hours with of water only.
