A:  Yes the All Surface pad can be used on carpeted floors also. In this application we recommend putting the fiber face down.

A:  I have 3 of these pads under 3 different size rugs on hardwood floors in front of high traffic doors. None of them budge from the floor and the rugs never slip off the pad either. Highly recommend them.

A:  Bottom line is... IT SLIPS. Don't buy it.

A:  The non-slip backing is made up of a blend of natural and synthetic rubber that is thermally bonded to the needle punched fiber padding. It is okay for use on hardwood floors. You will place the fiber side up, and rubber side down on the floor.

A:  My 8x10 pad came rolled and we are happy with it.

A:  The All Surface pad works also on carpeted surfaces. We recommend placing the rubber side face up on that application. For everyday traffic wear that works well. It should help your swivel recliner from sliding.

A:  We recommend you consult the manufacturer of the luxury vinyl flooring on if it recommends placement of anything on the surface.

A:  I use mine on hardwood floors to keep rugs from sliding. I’ve never seen any damage from them.

A:  Moisture does not hurt the All Surface Thin Profile rug padding, but as it is a solid knitted fiber pad with the non slip rubber backing it takes awhile to dry after being exposed to rainfall. For that reason it is recommended for indoor use.

A:  I use my floor pads inside my home. Note the manufacturer’s description does state for indoor use only.

A:  This rug pad is not for outdoor use.

A:  No. You can spot clean it but not washable.

A:  Recommendation is to hand wash areas that need to be cleaned and air dry.

A:  Mine barely smelled at all and I'm very sensitive. I threw it on the balcony for a few hours, but I haven't noticed it at all since I brought it in and laid my runner on it.

A:  The American Slide-Stop All-Surface rug pad goes thru a third party independent testing lab that tests for VOC levels on a regular basis. This rugpad passes all the testing criteria to meet and exceeed the Green Label Plus indoor air quality standard. There is no chemicals used in the manufacturing process of the pad.

A:  Mine does not smell at all; perhaps it did for the first day. I expect that any smell will go away after a short while.
