If the furniture is bare wood, I'd recommend priming it first with our Kitchen, Bath & Trim Primer. A:  Hi Zock, thanks for the question. I'd recommend using a 6" roller with a 1/4" - 3/8" nap roller to roll all the areas you can on the door and a high-quality nylon brush for the areas that aren't easily rolled. Have a great day! -Ronald

A:  Hi Robin, thanks for the question. You can use the Urethane Alkyd Paint for painting vinyl shutters, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Since the vinyl is smooth, I'd recommend priming them first with our Bonding Primer. It's designed to adhere to smooth, glossy surfaces. Also, when painting vinyl, you want to paint them a color similar or lighter to what they were already painted. If you use a darker color, it can attract more heat and may cause the shutters to warp, which could affect the adhesion of the paint.
