Q:I'd like to use a 310 spray tip in an airless sprayer to apply this paint. The label has a recommended tip size of .015–.019. Will I be able to use a 310 tip? If I dilute it with the recommended amount of water will that work? Thanks.

A: Hi Patrick, thanks for the question. I'd suggest checking with the manufacturer of the spray tip to see if it is .015" - .019". If the tip is smaller than that, you could have issues with the paint spraying properly. Also, for thinning the paint, we recommend adding up to 8 ounces of water per gallon. Have a great day! -Ronald

Q:Can I paint this over chalk paint? Will the primer in it adhere.

Answer This Question
A: Hi Kaitlin, thank you for your question. Our Premium Plus Paint will adhere to water-based paint as long as the surface is sound, clean, and dry. If the finish is glossy, you'll also want to scuff sand the surface to promote adhesion. Good luck with your project! -Giovanna

Q:Is this truly 1gallon = 128 oz, or less than that? I have what appears to be a Behr gallon of exterior paint, but it is only 120 oz.

A: Hi Dale, thanks for your question. We use a base system that allows our customers to choose from a larger variety of colors. Some bases are not filled to the top of the container to allow room for colorant to be added; once colorant is added, the container will be filled to the full 128oz. I hope this helps clarify everything for you! -Christina
