To activate the side COB red light on the Polysteel 700, you will want to press the bottom power button 3 times. 1 click activates one white side light, 2 clicks activates both white lights, 3 clicks activates the red light, and 4 clicks activates the flashing red lights. A:  No. At least I can't make it work that way.

A:  No. It can't be programmed only to red. The red light is on the sides, though, not the front light. It takes 3 clicks to get to red on both sides and it will stay that way until you switch it off.

A:  You must cycle through the light settings to get to red. I tried to get to the red light without cycling through the others and could not do it. I believe there is an electronic chip that you are sequencing through to get to the red light.

A:  RC, while it doesn't include a rechargeable battery, it is compatible with our custom ZX650 rechargeable battery. They can be purchased on our website.

A:  Rc the Coast PolySteel 700 comes with 4 standard AA batteries that are not rechargeable. You remove the PS700 end cap and the battery pack slides out- and you replace the 4 AA batteries, slide the pack back in to the flashlight and replace the end cap. As an option the manufacturer sells a rechargeable battery pack that can be removed and charged with a USB cable.

A:  Unscrew the back part and remove the battery pack. If you have rechargeable batteries, just put them in the charger and replace with freshly charged. They are AA alkaline batteries.

A:  No, the 18650 battery puts out 3.7 volts. The PS700 is designed for AA batteries, which are 1.5V.

A:  I have not tried to use 18659 in my Polysteel 700 but I doubt that they would work. However you can buy a rechargeable battery pack from Coast ZX650 made for this flashlight at a reasonable price. It is rechargeable in or out of the the flashlight with a micro USB cable. So far I am happy using alkaline AA batteries.

A:  I had a similar problem with mine, I contacted Coast Products customer service by email- they responded promptly- asked a few questions, and sent me a replacement light. You do not need receipt or paperwork. They advertise a lifetime warranty.
