A:  Yes, that doesn't come with the shower valve.

A:  An old style Moen Chateau shower trim needs a converter to change from a 5&7 hole pattern to 8 & 2, matching the new shower trims. Moen sells the 145058 shower adaptor to do this. It's a brass piece that screws to the Moen standard valve (NOT PosiTemp)

Our o-rings have a durable rubber construction with black finish and our silicone grease is designed for use as a waterproof lubricant on faucets, valve stems, cartridges and is safe for nitrite/rubber O-rings.

A:  Pretty easy to install and I have the same valve set up, so it works. The only issue that I have is that the back plate for the valve has a protruding center that fits over the valve and does not allow for a flush fit against my shower wall (tile).

A:  Thank you for contacting Danco. This trim kit replaces Moentrol 220, 240, 2600 and 2700 series with and without diverters; replaces Moen Posi-Temp series 2300 with and without diverters (Replaces existing Moen Shower Trim kits OEM# 28951, 28951, 28961, 89273 and 89275).

A:  I Measurement between the 2 holes is 2.15"

A:  Thank you for contacting Danco. You can try the next bigger size in a hex screw. In this case, it would be a good idea to try a 7/64” hex. Or alternatively, you can put a rubber band in between the hex screw and the hex wrench to get a better grip to get some traction. We have forwarded this to our engineering and product support team in addressing the issue to have better engagement between the hex screw and the hex wrench for these trim kits.

A:  The screws came coated with loctite when new. That and calcification caused both screws in my handle to be impossible to remove. I broke the hex screw using a small allen wrench. I'm buying this to replace it as the new handle has a different setup.
