            Answer This Question

A:  I've used it successfully in a shower in which the drain is off to the side. If concerned about slipping, you can attach with a waterproof adhesive.

            by|Oct 21, 2020

A:  It has a rubber edge on the bottom that helps it to stay put. It is moveable, if you want it to move, but for the most part, it just stays put. We have had this in our home for 5 years & never had a "slip" problem.

A:  If water is pooling around the strainer, if the strainer isn't plugged, then probably the drain is starting to plug up. We have this happen every once in a while. Someone is moving the strainer & allowing hair to go down the drain. Over time, this will plug the drain!

A:  Before installing it I turned it over and made some radial channels in a few places around the circular edge. This allowed the water to drain and is not apparent from the top. You can use a Dremel tool or file or saw to make the channels, being careful not to cut to the top surface.

A:  The problem you describe is a result of the angle of your actual drain and the gasket. Try waiting a few minutes after use to remove materials or maybe even using a paper weight to seat the gasket a bit better (then take it away when in use).

A:  I only get a 'pool' the depth of the basket; which I find acceptable. Depending on your drain ... You might try turning in over or cutting a notch in the gasket; not the metal, or you might get a sharp edge.
