A:  Not sure about the RPMs but it runs great on my Shopsmith. I love it. Cuts like it is going through butter.

A:  Cuts square iron tube and angle iron like a dream. I use a router speed control to slow the saw down a little bit to keep it in the appropriate speed range with my miter saw

A:  Hi Charles! As long as it is used with a metal cutting or multi-material saw (lower rpm), then it works great!

A:  Per https://www.diablotools.com/products/D0824X, the plate is 0.063" and the kerf is 0.094. This works very well with the Ryobi RTS08 8-1/4" portable table saw which has a 0.090" riving knife. Thinner blades don't let cut material pass the riving knife.

A:  It is carbide tipped. Most carbide tipped blades are 1/8 thick. Blade looks like a wood blade but cuts metal like magic. I use it in my miter saw with a router speed control to slow the speed down a bit.

                  Answer This Question

A:  The blade would not last long on a miter saw. You would be throwing money away. These are for low rpm saws.

                    Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question! It is feasible if the tool RPM meets the blade specification, and the tool manual permits this application – but it is truly designed for use in a low-rpm metal cutting miter saw.

A:  RPM limit should be on the saw itself. For metal cutting its much lower then woodcutting saw. I'm using it on Evolution miter saw to cut metal. Saw rated for 2500rpm.
