Answer This Question

A:  Use a fine tooth blade like this one, 60T or higher, and move the saw slowly and hold or clamp the stock. You can clean up the kerf with a sharp chisel of you want it smoother.

A:  Yes, a 60T blade is a very smooth cut blade, just cut slower than you wood with a 40T blade to improve the cut.

A:  Depends which blade size you're referring to. This is the same Q&A for 3 different sizes. 12in = 1in arbor 10in and 6.5in are 5/8in

Q:Can this be used to cut 1.75 inch butcher block?

                Answer This Question

A:  It is a small circular saw but it has capacity to cut up to 2 inches. This blade is meant to cut plywood with out splintering. Butcher block is usually maple which is very hard and butcher block usually has the end grain facing up. I would not use either the small saw or the blade to do this. I suspect that the close spaced teeth and the lack of hook of the teeth will cause the blade to load up with saw dust and bind. I would not recommend this saw or this blade for making cuts in thick butcher block. You need more power and a cross cutting blade..

A:  Yes this blade can be used to cut butcher block it's a very good finish blade and it's also a very good brand they have a good warranty policy on it also

                  by|Feb 1, 2021

A:  This blade is designed for fine finish cuts in chip prone materials such as melamine. You don't mention whether you plan to make cross cuts or rip cuts. Rip cuts would would be better served using a 40 tooth ATB blade whereas this blade would give better cross cut results. Many blades can be used for making cuts in wood, it generally comes down to picking the right blade for the job. If you plan to use this blade, move slowly as you'll be removing small amounts of wood given the shallow gullets in the blade.

A:  Bought this blade to cut melamine. Used painter's tape for the rip and the edge is razor sharp. Cuts amazing. Don't need an 80 tooth for melamine

A:  Works good, you will still have a little bit of chipping on ONE side of the board. I also used masking tape, which helps.
