Q:I found the pipe kinks easily. Is there an easy way to bury this thing underground (clay soil), even like 2"-3" down?

      Answer This Question

A:  the pipe will kink if you try and bend it in a sharp radius. Use elbows or tees to do a 90 degree bend. The only way to bury it is to dig a trench.

      by|May 2, 2023

A:  Let it sit out in the sun, unrolled for a couple hours before working with it. Makes it a bit easier to maneuver. I've never had a problem with it kinking underground, but I only bury the 1/2" tube.

Q:Can this be used to run cable coax or fiber optic cable underground from street to back of house...170 feet????

              Answer This Question

A:  My guess is that you are asking whether this tubing can be used in place of conduit for coaxial or fiberoptic cable. The short answer is yes, but it if far from ideal for conduit because it is easy to damage with a shovel and gophers or moles can chew through it pretty easily. It does afford some protection but probably best to use real conduit if the cable isn't direct bury.

A:  I've had a drip system for 30 years I recently had to replace some tubing from the deer biting into it because they hear the water going through it. Main replacements are the couplings and L 's because of cold weather they crack. I could not take care of over 1,000 trees and 3 rows of drip tubing on 40 acres without my drip system. I live in Northern Nevada and weather as you know is "ify" hang in 10 minutes and the weather will change. Best of luck this is good tubing

A:  This is really heavy duty. I am not in the desert but we do have hot summers (regularly 90-105) and I am using it on a black 4'x4' board coiled in direct sunlight as a solar pool heater. This is the third year of use - I will need to replace the board due to heat/rain deteriorating it but the coil itself is as good as it was when I bought it.

A:  Yes. I bought the backflow preventer, and attached the pressure regulator, and then an adapter that connected to the tubing. I’ve connected about 35 droppers on 1 run.

Q:How long a run can I do before beginning with emitters? I need to run about 200' from the water source to a small patch of fruit trees. It would be much easier to use this than PVC pipe, but I've read elsewhere that a drip system surpass 150'. True?
