Q:does it have an no or low VOC

Answer This Question

A:  The paint can's instructions does not show the VOC that I can find but they do stress to have adequate ventilation when applying it. I did not experience any problems in using a brush and roller in my application on the basement floor. It covers well and is actually very slip resistant. The only suggestion I would offer is to have the store open the gallon(s) at the store and have them shake them. My first gallon was congealed and unusable. They replaced it but it was still a bother.

A:  I have used this product for several years in two of my homes, one has a severe water intrusion problem through the basement floor and walls. Even with a sump draining water from below floor level, water seeps up through the floor. I applied two coats of the Drylock Floor paint during the Fall and Winter months when it was dry...the results have been fantastic! I also painted the basement concrete block walls with the Drylock Wall waterproofing paint, that product is awesome as well! Although the wall product is less expensive than the flooring product...do not substitute one for the other. Only use the floor product for the floor! Every year or two I need to touch up the floor where paint has chipped or scratched do to wear and tear, just use a paint brush. After years of water and dampness in my basements, the problem is solved. I’ll be doing the basement of the house i’m In now, next month!

A:  I used this on 3 separate cement floors and the basement cement walls. I estimate that the drying time was between 30 minutes to just over an hour.

A:  Dries to the touch in under an hour. I recoated it the next day and walked on it without marking it up at all. Paint covers very well on first coat but wanted extra coat for added protection. I was able to move the appliances back into position the following day without scratching the floor at all. Was doing a rehab property so had extra time to let it dry thoroughly. Turned out great. Very tuff finish.

A:  I don't remember the exact drying time. Obviously it depends upon the temp & humidity. I recommend you read the label &/or Google Drylok for more info. This is an excellent product.
