This kit works for Defiant and most Kwikset locks. While some of the parts may be compatables with Schlage locks, the kit was not designed for that.

This kit is only for Defiant or KW1 locks and will not work for a Schlage lock.

Yes ... remember that master keys do not include the #1 pin because it's so very thin, it gets caught in the tumbler. Also, this set does not include keys so you might stop by the lock smith at your local Home Depot and have them make you a few master key blanks.

Yes I have purchased one and been using for this purpose, THE MASTER PIN #1 ISN"T INCLUDED BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED IT, the Master Pin #1 would be too small. If lets say your master key is 54453 And your slave key is 53321 You would key the lock as so 5 3 3 3(master 2 on top) 2 Long as your using Defiant keys the 1 difference will not mater, however I've done this with other key brands and it's hit and miss.

This is a box filled with pins that are used to change locks from one key pattern to another ... a process called "rekeying." There are enough pins to rekey hundreds of locks and if you keep and reuse the old pins, this box could last a lifetime. There are no blank keys or "new" keys. If you need keys, that is a separate purchase or you can simply use the old keys in the new locks.

I have no idea what is being asked here. However, the kit has enough pins for at least 200 keys.

I have a property management business and i rekey every house between tenants. I recucle my pins and have rekeyed over 50 locks. New pins are available at your local locksmith. Without recycling the oins i estimate 20 locks can be rekeyed.

FLIPz changes the locks on every house we work on and that's a lot over the years. One rekey kit contains hundreds and hundreds of each of dozens of pins ... and you can buy little bags of pins if you run low ... but you will never run low. If you are looking for a number on this, go with 500 locks or more. Also remember that when you rekey a lock, there are already pins in there than can be used and reused. This is the kind of tool that you will buy once and give your heirs in the next century.

I don't know the exact number, but this kit can easily do more than 100 locks.

I do not know for sure, but it looks it could rekey 30 to 50 door knobs or deadbolts. If you have 3 to 5 doors, you'll have more than enough. It came with extra pins for regular pinning and several packs for master pinning. works with Kwikset too but your pins are limited to six sizes. Happy with my purchase. Needs a solid core follower and pinning tweezers.

Yes ... There are a couple of options. Try "Schlange rekey kit" in the search bar and you'll see what they have.

This kit does not come with keys, but a locksmith can make keys for you to match whatever pins you use. Also, you can keep your old keys and re-key other locks to use them.

Try buying a key cutting tool. Cut the keys the same. And change the pin the way you cut the key.
