Hi Jessica, Thank you for your question regarding our Delta Faucet R22000-WS. With a 3-setting diverter trim, only the top and left ports are used. The unit will not function properly if you cap off the left port, you will not get all three-diverter settings. We look forward to better serving you in the future. Hi George, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The MultiChoice® Universal Integrated Shower Diverter Rough MODEL#: R22000-WS will not work with a tub filler. These valves are designed to work only with multiple showerheads and hand showers and will not support the amount of flow needed for a tub spout. Please reach out with further questions!
