What is the function of the screwdriver stops versus the non "WS" model?

Thank you for your question, Vince! The screw driver stops allow you to shut the water off at the valve during installation or repairs. Models without the "WS" suffix do no have these stops, so the supply would need to be shut off elsewhere in the home. Best regards, Jon

      Is there a surface mount face plate that covers this and the (on/off) valve? A "double opening" universal face plate/trim?
