Q:How many inches from the wall does the rod extend? I assume the 18" and 24" extend the same?

A: 3” off the wall. Most all brands are about the same just enough space to get the towel over it and not stick out from the wall to far.
Good luck

Q:The rod has white plastic in each end. Do these come out before mounting on the parts that are screwed to the wall? Nothing in the printed instructions addresses this, but I can't slide the bar onto the holder while they are in there. If they come out, how do I remove them without damaging the rod?

A: I took mine out because I had to cut it to length to fit existing dimension, I would leave them in if that is an option, I'm a professional installer.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Mine was installed by my contractor but there is no white on the ends. It’s all chrome. Sorry, I can’t be more help.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Michael, Thank you for your question. The plastic ends are there to keep moisture of of the rod. If you push the plastic ends further into the rod, this should allow the rod to be installed onto the mounting posts. Best, Customer Care Team

Q:What is the size of the base plate? The fact that you're the only manufacturer I could find on Home Depot who doesn't provide a spec sheet and basically tells people to go to your website, is stupidity at its finest. Why would I go through that extra step when there are so many other options?

Q:Can the rod be cut down and installed in the brackets to make this a total of 13 inches rather than 19?

Answer This Question
A: Yes... Just use a hacksaw....easy
by|Jan 1, 2019
A: Yes , I just did it . Use a tubing cutter, but most important is do the math for the correct bracket position.
by|May 5, 2023
A: Yes, I did that, any hacksaw will cut the material but it is tough metal, be careful not to slip and mar the bar. One tip is to use the blue painting tape and mark the area you are going to cut on both sides - leaving 1/16" between where you want your cut; then just cut between your two pieces of tape. You will have to measure your new distance between centers for your mounting clips.

A: Thanks Ardeth for your question. This bar can be cut BUT we do not recommend cutting the bar. Any alterations to the bar will void the warranty. Kind Regards, Customer Care Team
