A: The Power Source can provide up to 660 watt hours for the battery tender between charges. It can support a battery tender that uses less than 15 amps. Please note your run time is affected by the amperage of the tender.

Q:I would like to use this as back up power for a sump pump. Can I leave it "on" continuously to provide uninterrupted power?
by|Jun 17, 2021
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Yes. Once you have the sump pump plugged into the inverter, and the Duracell plugged into an AC outlet, please turn the unit on by holding down the power button for 1 to 2 seconds. This way, in the event there is no AC power available the Power Source, when powered on, will switch to using the internal battery for power in 20 milliseconds.

Answer This Question
A: The Power Source is not water proof, or dust proof, so it will have to be protected from the elements, but the storage temperature range is is -4 F to 122 F and the operating temperature range is 32 F to 104 F
by|Jun 7, 2021
A: Would not recommend. #1 the electronics will be stressed due to higher temperatures. #2 additionally, lead acid battery life is shortened when subjected to high temperature.

Q:will it run a rv camper
by|May 30, 2021
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: The PowerSource is meant to run lower wattage essential items. such as phones, smaller televisions, some laptops and small refrigerators. An RV camper needs a lot of power to run all of the appliances and devices, as a result we do not recommend the PowerSource to run an RV Camper.

Q:Will this run a small air compressor?
by|May 10, 2021
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: It depends on the wattage of the air compressor, if the peak is less than 1440 watts, then yes the inverters can support an air compressor, if the compressor does not require a pure sine wave inverter. The run time may be extremely limited, depending on the wattage.

Q:What solar panel is compatible with the Duracell
by|Apr 23, 2021

Answer This Question
A: You can use a 100 watt panel without a controller. The panel should have Anderson Power Pole connections. If not, you will need to get an adapter cable that allows you to plug the panel into one side of the cable, with Anderson Power Pole connectors on the other side of the cable.

Q:Would this work for an electric blanket? Thinking something stronger than a 12v blanket.

Answer This Question
A: I would recommend not purchasing this unit, instead, from Home Depot, select one with the Westinghouse or Jackery brand names, as they offer more up-to-date features such as Lithium batteries, pure sine wave inverter, additionally the Jackery offers "regulated" 12v power which is important for many 12v appliances that require a constant 12v, no matter what state of charge your Lithium battery contains.
This Duracell unit uses lead acid battery, modified sine wave inverter which would prevent using it with any sensitive electronics.
Which unit to pick would depend on how much power the blanket requires & the length of time desired.

A: Yes , but the run time would only be about 1 hour.
660 watt hour rating x.85 (typical efficiency rating)= 561 watt hours
I believe a typical 5000 btu a/c would draw about 475 watts, so 561/475= 1.18 hours

Q:I am interested in using it as a power source in a storage building with a solar panel keeping it fully charged all the time. Is this an appropriate use of the device
by|Mar 11, 2021

Answer This Question
A: Yes, you can leave it attached to a solar panel at all times. There is overcharge protection built into the solar charging port, so there is no danger of overcharging the battery when the panels are plugged into the solar charging port on the back of the DR660PSS.
