Questions and Answers for Dynatrap UV 1/2-Acre Black Insect and Mosquito Trap

A:  DynaTrap® Insect Traps get to work for you immediately. Once plugged in and turned on, the traps will start attracting and eliminating insects. It will take up to 6 weeks to break the life cycle of the mosquito and the trap will gradually reduce the mosquito population on your property.

A:  Works right away but you don’t hear any zapping noise

A:  It starts working as soon as you plug it in. The light and Co2 emission draws the bugs in and sends them into the trap.

A:  About 2 weeks, the life cycle of eggs to hatching.  

A:  Ideally you would put it within a clear line of site from area you would like to treat. But since this thing is on all night long, it's likely that the pest insects in your backyard would have some interaction with adjacent areas. I think the strategy of this device is reduce the numbers, and so in that sense, it will certainly work on the side of the house. From my experience this device does seem to help, but it's just part of a layered solution, it alone is not going to entirely eliminate mosquitos in your back yard

A:  no the range is very low so need it where you are.  not very effective even then

A:  We recommend that the trap be placed 20-40 feet away from people gathering areas. If the trap is around a corner, the house would act as an obstruction and may not attract mosquitoes and other insects located in the back yard.

A:  We do not recommend placing the trap closer than 20 feet away as you want to draw the mosquitoes away from people areas, not towards.

A:  The traps work the same; there are just a few features that differentiate them. The outdoor traps are weatherized whereas the indoor traps are not. Outdoor traps have a lid covering the fan and light housing protecting them from the weather. You are able to use an outdoor trap indoors but cannot use an indoor trap outdoors. None of our traps use pesticides or other harmful chemicals and they are all are odor free. This allows the traps to be used around your family and pets without any harm.

A:  It came with the attractant

A:  Attractant is included with the trap. It is not needed to operate the trap but will increase the lure rate. We recommend to replace the lure every 60 days.
