A: Hello. Thanks for your question. This is a curved shaft trimmer that comes standard with the 2-Line Rapid Loader Trimmer Head. This head features 2 8" pieces of trimmer line. This is not a tap-to-advance trimmer head. The ECHO Straight Shaft models will feature a tap-to-advance style trimmer head. Those model numbers begin with an "SRM". For example, "SRM-225".

Answer This Question
A: Hi Lonnie! Thanks for your question. The Speed Feed 400 is compatible with the GT-225. The trimmer head out of the packaging, will only work for ECHO's Straight Shaft trimmer models. The packaging will come with other bushings and adapters that are needed to install on ECHO's Curved Shaft trimmer models. You will need the white core and black bushing installed into the trimmer head, which then makes it compatible with the GT-225.
