This is not a tap-to-advance trimmer head. The ECHO Straight Shaft models will feature a tap-to-advance style trimmer head. Those model numbers begin with an "SRM". For example, "SRM-225".

The packaging will come with other bushings and adapters that are needed to install on ECHO's Curved Shaft trimmer models. You will need the white core and black bushing installed into the trimmer head, which then makes it compatible with the GT-225.
