A: Hello Ronald,
A drain pan is not directly required by Ecosmart. We would advise to check with your local plumbing code and/or city hall to see if it is required in your area.

A: Hello JoJo,
The maximum GPM that the ECO-11 unit can provide is 2.9 given that the inlet temperature is approximately 77F degrees. A tankless water heater's estimated GPM is highly dependent on the inlet temperature. Please refer to the associated Specification Sheet for GPM estimations at various inlet temperatures.

A: Hello William,
The Ecosmart Specification Sheet provides estimated GPMs at various inlet temps to reach an outlet temp of 105F. Please refer to the associated Specification Sheet and the most approximate inlet temperature to your home to estimate the GPM of both the ECO 8 & ECO 11 in your application. This will also help you determine the number and type of hot water access points each model could support.

A: ECO 8 pushes 1.56gpm as the ECO 11 will give you 2.54gpm. Using less utilities at once will help you but with the larger output the ECO 11 has you can run more at the same time without any interference in temp.
